Zvyagintsevite is an ultra-rare natural alloy of lead and palladium. Here is an amazingly well-defined crystal of this exceptional platinum group mineral. It is complete all around, with very good metallic luster. These crystals resemble the isoferroplatinum crystals from the same locality, but are presumed to be several orders of magnitude rarer than the already rare native platinum crystals ("1 of 1000"). While they might appear quite similar at first, they is actually a difference to the platinum crystals. The characteristic features are the "stepped" edges and corners, and a slightly warmer hue. Additionally, this specimen was SEM/EDS verified. This is a superb example of this rare species.
